Biography: Deanna Dowell, age 49, of Little Rock, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2015. She was born July 29, 1965 in Batesville, Arkansas to Harry Dowell and Nancy Wren. She is preceded in death by a grandfather, Ray Dowell. Deanna accumulated many friends in the Little Rock area during the thirty years she lived here. She attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She was a gifted artist and sculptor. She is survived by her parents, Harry Dowell and Nancy Wren (Glen), a sister, Dana Dowell, grandmother, Bea Dowell, grandparents, Eugene and Ruby Greenfield, aunts, uncle, nieces, and many cousins. A family memorial service will be held at a later date in Batesville. Interment will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Batesville, Arkansas. Nancy and Dana, I was so sad to hear this news. I have such happy memories of Deanna, and have often thought of you all. My parents loved her as their own as well. I am so deeply saddened over your sudden loss. I was very stunned to hear this news and still can?t believe that it really happened. During this difficult time, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
Deanna and I were the dearest friends. I loved her so very much. I have missed her with us living far from each other. I admired all those wonderful qualities that made her the special person that she was. She had intelligence, wit, charm and a caring heart that made her a great friend. She was a great woman and I know our lives will never be the same without her.
I have so many wonderful memories of her and our shenanigans when we were younger. I will cherish them forever.
