Biography: Charles Franklin Cranford, age 93, died Saturday, May 2, 2015 in Beebe, Arkansas. He was born January 3, 1922 in Little Rock to the late Robert and Tennie Cranford. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers, 3 sisters, and a son-in-law, Ricky Strayhorn. Charles retired from the United States Post Office, was a Navy Veteran, a member of Henderson United Methodist Church for 55 years, and a member of United Methodist Church of Beebe. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Claudine Cranford, daughters, Linda Temple and Joan Strayhorn, grandchildren, Douglas Temple (Laura), Scott Temple (Jessica) and Melissa Strayhorn, great-grandchildren, Abigail and McKenna Temple, and brother, David Cranford. A visitation will be on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Ruebel Funeral Home, 6313 W Markham St, Little Rock from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a graveside service at 11:30 at Forest Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice or United Methodist Church of Beebe. Arrangements by Ruebel Funeral Home, www.ruebelfuneralhome.com.
