Biography: Emma Lou (Stokey) Chandler, age 88, of Little Rock, died Friday, January 12, 2007 at her home. She was born in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, on December 22, 1918 to the late Albert and Mary (Rader) Stokey. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ, the Order of the Eastern Star, and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Charles W. Peterson; and her second husband, Gayle M. Chandler. Survivors include her step-son, Robert Chandler; sister-in-law, Geraldine Chandler; cousins Thomas Hooker (Cindy), David Hooker, Priscilla Stills (Joe), and Marla, Cindy, and Michael Terry; nephew, Richard Lucy; and sister-in-law Leona Lucy. She is also survived by her special friends Wanda Gooden and Margie Lentz; and a host of other friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 in the Chapel of Ruebel Funeral Home officiated by Nick Monan and Chuck Hamilton. Burial will be private.
