Someone just shared with me about Bess. I am so sorry to hear of her passing.

As a female executive, Bess was an inspiration to many young women at TCBY. Barbara and Margaret, correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't the TCBY name change Bess' inspiration? From "This Can't Be Yogurt" to "The Country's Best Yogurt," saving the company zillions by keeping the TCBY identity and simultaneously utilizing the same 4 letters in the new name, yet satisfying the legal requirements imposed by a rival company. Brilliant!

I was a guest in her home on occasion, and was blessed to get to know her on a personal level, as well. She was a gracious hostess. And her later-in-life marriage to George was a touching love story and a reminder that love is not limited to only the young in years, but also to the young in heart.

Bess was not only one of my favorite bosses, but a long time true friend. I have many fond memories of us working together at First Pyramid. She was the most positive and thoughtful person I ever knew - always thinking of others. A wonderful role model with a kind heart and sweet smile. She definitely will be missed.
George, you and the family are in our thoughts and prayers.

George, so sorry to hear of your loss. Bess was a true professional. We had a great Company at First Pyramid with great benefits and we felt like family, and I attribute that a lot to Bess. I know of many companies that would be much better off if they had someone like Bess to help lead them. She was a great Lady.

Bess was a true leader, visionary, and business executive. She set the bar for so many HR professionals including myself. She was a mentor and when you called upon he to help you, she was always available. So many HR professionals have been impacted by her mentoring and guidance. She will be missed but not forgotten.
