Many people don't know she had a fourth son--me! When I was a callow, indigent, and thoroughly dissipate nineteen year old, her son Chris found me abandoned on a doorstep and brought me to the Ives home. She very patiently, and over a periods of many decades, endeavored to guide me to the Light. The fact that today I remain a callow, indigent, and thoroughly dissipate old dude is regrettable, but does not lessen the worth of the effort of all her ceaseless toil on my behalf. Meredith, thanks for all your selfless devotion, the love you gave so freely to so many people, and not least, for the good times we shared as I journeyed unsteadily from boy to man.

Meredith was one of the nicer people one could ever meet. Over the many years of my time with her from high school years through today I and my family have been privileged to spend many happy hours in her home on holidays and for gatherings. The worlds is a better place because of her life of caring. Chris, Rob and Jimmy were her pride and joy and my thoughts are with them for their loss.

You will probably not remember who I am but Meredith used to date my father-in-law Jermone Aldridge many years ago - the early 80's. My husband, Art and I used to double date with them often. When my parents met Jermone for the first time, it was Meredith who hosted the dinner at her home off of Reservoir Road. It was a wonderful evening. Meredith also was part of our wedding as the "mother-in-law". She is in all of our wedding pictures and was just beautiful. I have so many happy memories of her. Unfortunately things did not last between her and Jerome but I kept up with Meredith for many many years. Jerome passed in the mid 80's and Art and I moved out of state until 2006. Several years ago I received a package from Meredith with pictures, etc from when we were so close. Your mom was a beautiful, gracious and intelligent woman. She was a huge role model for me during those years - I really adored her. And she adored her sons! I am very sorry for your loss but what a great lady! All my love to all of you and your extended family at this time.
