Biography: Marlene P. Mahaffey, 82, of Little Rock passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015. She was born February 2, 1932 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Aubrey Peal and Euline McLemore Peal. Marlene was a former resident of Memphis. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Marlene was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Terry Mahaffey and daughter, Judith Thompson of Hendersonville, TN. She is survived by daughter, Sherry Mahaffey Bennett and husband Will of Weston, FL, son-in-law, Wayne Thompson of Hendersonville, TN, grandchildren, Sheila, Tammy, Andrea, and Amy, 5 great-grandsons and 5 great-granddaughters. A visitation will be held at Ruebel Funeral Home on Friday, January 23, 2015 one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery. Thoughts and prayers are with you all. She was always so kind and generous. I enjoyed talking with her on a biweekly basis. Know that she will be missed.
