Biography: Patricia Frances Benesh Holmes, 87, of Little Rock passed away Friday, January 16th, 2015. She was born on February 17, 1927 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to the late Frank and Albia Benesh. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Johnnie Holmes. She is survived by three god-children who loved her like their own mother; Pam Alagood Taylor, Greg Alagood and Nancy Alagood Meredith and a cousin Dorothy Fleming of Walla Walla, Washington. Patricia was a loving wife who used her degree in Home Economics from the University of Iowa to run a house that supported her three god-children, husband and long marriage. She loved to cook and garden beautiful flowers and was always devoted to Johnnie. A celebration of Patricia?s life will be held at St. Mark?s Episcopal Church on Wednesday, January 21st, 2015 at 11 a.m. followed by burial in the St. Mark?s Garden Columbarium and a reception at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Mark?s Episcopal Foundation, 1000 N Mississippi St., Little Rock, AR 72207.
