Biography: Medora S. Jennings, age 76, of Little Rock, died January 1, 2007. She was born September 19, 1930 in Camden, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her son Walter Jennings, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Walter C. Jennings of Little Rock, a son Earp F. “Jay” Jennings of Brooklyn, New York, a daughter Elizabeth “Cesu” McGee and husband Sam, grandchildren Grace and Emma all of Dallas, Texas. Medora was a graduate of Randolph Macon College in Ashland, Virginia where she majored in Greek. After college she moved to Little Rock where she was a member of First United Methodist Church later becoming a member of Christ Episcopal Church for most of life. She loved politics, horseracing and game shows. She was a life long supporter of Dale Bumpers working on all of his campaigns from his first run for Governor in 1970 through his Senate carrier. She also worked for David Pryor and ran as a delegate for the State Constitutional Convention. One of the joys of her life was attending the horse races at Oaklawn Park and serving on the Racing Commission in the ‘70s. In 1973 she won the top prize of $10,000 on the Television game show, Pyramid. Medora loved playing golf and was an avid bridge player, and enthusiastic gardener. She was a member of numerous Little Rock garden clubs, Little Rock Junior League, and a volunteer with Easter Seals. There will be a memorial funeral service 11:00 a.m. Thursday January 4th, at Christ Episcopal Church officiated by The Reverend J. Scott Walters.
