I am deeply sad to get to know that Dr. Higuchi recently passed away. He was a great scientist and a very smart person. As postdoctoral research fellow I learned many things from his passionate work and from his truly dedicated work to help his students.

To the Higuchi family: I was lucky enough to work with Masahiro Higuchi from the time that he arrived on the UAMS campus. He was so kind, brilliant, humble, and grateful for the assistance that I could give him. Whenever we saw each other on campus, he always smiled (even when he looked distracted or worried). I will miss Dr. Higuchi and am so very grateful that I had the opportunity to work with him for the past 10 years. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
