Mrs. Pate was my Home Economics teacher at Hall High School back in the early 1960's. I remember her as one of the most outstanding teachers in my life. We studied cooking, sewing, and the general social graces of that era. I still have a report that she assigned us for our semester project. It is titled "Silverware" and Mrs. Pate gave me an "A", which must have made me very proud since I have kept the report for 50 years! She was a lovely lady and very professional as a teacher. I saw her once in the grocery store in recent years and had a nice chat. I wish I had kept up with her, but she will always be in my heart.
