Biography: Stephan Michael Hunt, age 59 of Mt. Vernon, Arkansas passed away Monday, October 20, 2014. He was born July 2, 1955 in Eldorado, Arkansas to his parents Charles William Hunt and Margaret Ann Hammond. Stephan was a graduate of Hall High School in Little Rock, attended for two years at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and worked as a Rig Supervisor in the oil fields for more than 38 years. In addition, he enjoyed bass fishing, duck hunting and was an avid Razorback fan who loved to call the ?Hogs.? He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Rose Hunt; his mother Margaret Ann Hammond; three children, Olivia Brook Elliott (Robbie) of Cabot, Tim Huckaby (Angie) of Maumelle and Leticia Huckaby of Mt. Vernon; six siblings, Susan Diane Hunt of Little Rock, Stewart Skiles of Little Rock, Brion David Hunt (Bonnie) of Alexander, Margaret Rachael Hunt of Taos, NM, Thomas Andrew Skiles of Minneapolis, MN and Shanon Neumier of North Little Rock and nine grandchildren, Alana, Alyssa, Charlie, Dustin, Dalton, Bobby, Haley, Timmy Emme and a host of great-grandchildren. Stephan is preceded in death by his father. A memorial service will be 2:00pm Monday, October 27, 2014 at Ruebel Funeral Home, 6313 W. Markham St., Little Rock, Arkansas.

Mike was great! One of my best friends and companions of my high school and college days. He was always kind, reliable, fun, competent and strong. He will be missed by all.

I will never forget the fond memories that Mike bestowed in my heart... we had wonderful times together working in the oil field and riding back and forth to work I look forward to seeing him again soon someday so we can sit back and laugh about the good old times."Nipper"

P.s. that was a funny little nickname that Mike gave me back in the day... "the nipper"

I have fond memories of the Hunt family from my childhood. I am saddened deeply by this news. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
