After heading charge-account operations at Marine Midland Bank in Binghamton, New York, in the 1950s and 1960s, Baumann held executive posts at Worthen Bank in Little Rock. He retired in 1980. Baumann is survived by his wife of 63 years Jean (Hartnett) Baumann, and three children: Elizabeth (Betsy) Kemp of Little Rock and her husband Bill Kemp; Michael of South Orange, New Jersey; and Peter of Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. In 1993 Baumann was honored by the social-services organization We Care for seventeen years of dedicated service to the people of southeast Pulaski County, Arkansas. Baumann was a member of the Men’s Club of Christ the King Church in Little Rock and, along with his wife, Jean, helped coordinate church volunteer efforts directed toward nearby rural communities. He also served for many years with Helping Hand, a greater Little Rock organization that assists in meeting the basic needs of the low-income, unemployed, and elderly. A funeral mass will be held at Christ the King Church in Little Rock at 10:00 a.m. December 27. Prayer services will be held at Christ the King 6:00 p.m., December 26. Dear Jean and Family: Rita sent us the obituary for Loren. Please accept our sincere sympathy and prayers. We firmly believe that those who give of themselves so generously will also be given to - and the blessings he will continue to receive and the spirit he will continue to pour out to those he loves and the unfortunate whom he has always felt deeply for will continue to be recipients.
