I live in Fayetteville now and only just now learned of Ed's passing. I am a Past Master of Magnolia lodge. During my time as master Ed was extremely helpful to me. As lodge brethern, we of course knew and respected each other. It was during my master's term that I realized how much the Lodge depended on him, and how much I relied on him. He was a good man and I hope I was as good a friend to him as he was to me. Condolences to the family

To Entire Snell Family:

The world has lost a wonderful person and haven has
been gained a great angle.

I will miss Ed and have often thought of him working on his antique automobiles.

Ed produced a wonderful family and I know you will miss him dearly.

I wish there were more people in this world like Ed.

God Bless all of you.

We enjoyed being neighbors with Mr.Snell in Sheridan for many years. He had a great sense of humor, talent, and intelligence. He was a joy to know. He and John liked to talk fishing and about the many trips he and Mrs. Snell had taken to so many places. We could not ask for a better neighbor and friend. He will be missed. John & Mary Cole

Dear Kathy, Carolyn, & Frank,
My dad told me week before last that your Dad had fallen and things didn?t look good.
I made a note to call Frank, but I did not make that call until this afternoon. I wish I had called sooner.
You had already left the office, Frank, but the young lady who answered gave me all the relevant details.
I plan to be there in the morning, but I still wanted to write something here.
Words are never adequate, but words are about all the mourners have to give the family.
I?m just so sorry. And so sad.
Your dad (and mom) were like my ?other set of parents? when we were growing up, so it feels a lot to me like losing my own father.
Please let me know if there's ANYTHING I can do. With Love, rhea

Frank,

I am very sorry to hear about Mr. Snell. It was always a joy to see him come into the lab on occasion. I particularly remember one time he comes in a red Porche and the next in a minivan. That just made my day. He always had a smile and a kind word. My family is particularly thankful for his business sense (as well as yours). We are proud to be a family of employees of a wonderful company that he created. We know you will continue to make him proud in carrying on his work.
You and Mrs. Susie, Brant and Melissa are in our thoughts and prayers throughout this difficult time.

My late father thought and spoke highly of Mr. Snell, having worked with Ed Sr. in the Franklin School Dad's Club and on other Oak Forest neighborhood betterment projects of the '50s. I am personally appreciative of the businessman-craftsman role model he was for the friends of his children. We were always welcome in the Snell home.
