Biography: Loisteen E. Jordan, of Little Rock, passed peacefully from this life on August 28, 2014, at 87 years of age. Lois was born on March 9, 1927, in Uniform, Alabama to Cora Lee and James Henry Smith, her beloved parents. She married William (Bill) Cecil Jordan in 1948 and they had two sons, William Carl and Michael Lee. Lois and Bill were happily married for 42 years until his passing in 1990. Lois lived independently for the following 24 years, until recently in the home which she and Bill shared and in which they raised their children and, for the past several months, at Presbyterian Village. Lois was a longtime member of the Little Rock Seventh Day Adventist Church and formed many dear and lasting friendships among the church?s membership. In addition to her parents and Bill, Lois was predeceased by her beloved sister Nola Mae and brothers James and Robert. She is survived by her brother, Arthur Smith, sons Mike and Carl, and twenty-one nieces and nephews. Special thanks to David and Kathy Hulsey, whose loving friendship over the last decade of Lois? life made them her extended family in Little Rock. A chapel service will be held on Thursday at one o?clock in the afternoon at Ruebel Funeral Home, 6313 West Markham Street, Little Rock, to be followed by interment at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Arkansas.
