Biography: Louise Lindahl Christian, 94, of Little Rock died July 27, 2014. Born and reared in Malvern, the daughter of George Ragnar and Dona Gibbs Lindahl, she was educated in the Malvern schools and at Hendrix College. She was married to James Boyd Christian in December, 1941 and except for time spent away with her husband while he served in the U.S. Air Force, she was a life-long Little Rock resident. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Faulkner Class, Lift Volunteers, the Altar Guild, Church Needlepoint Group, the Twentieth Century Club, and Edelweiss Study Club. Louise is survived by her husband, James Boyd Christian, son James B. Christian Jr and his wife Patricia, one grand-daughter Elizabeth Christian Smith and husband Randall, grand-son James B. Christian III and wife Tricia and five great grandchildren, Connor, Davis and Griffin Smith and Anna Elizabeth and Grant Thomas Christian, one brother, George Lindahl and sister-in-law Margarita. A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Wm. Christopher Cooper officiating, followed by a reception. The burial will be a private family affair. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or a charity of choice.
