Grace Sahli was the youngest sister of my grandmother, Ethel Boch Hart. My grandmother adored her sister, and named one of her daughters after her. I was only blessed to see my Great-aunt Grace a couple times that I remember. She was lively, sweet, and so happy to fill us in on family history. My father called his Aunt Grace on her 103rd birthday. She was having her hair done, but stopped to have a great conversation with him. According to others in my family who knew her better, she was an amazing woman.

I tried to sign the condolence book a day or so ago, and cannot locate it today. My Great Aunt Grace was a very special lady and every member of my family loved her dearly. She was such a wonderful person that I do not know where to begin. My mother, Annie Edna Hart Bishop Furr got to see her last summer. My brother, Lewis E. Bishop, Jr. took our mother to see her on several different days and our family has some wonderful pictures of her with Annie, Lewis, Clay, Evan, and baby Alex. We had six generations in the photos. Mother was so happy to get the opportunity to see her aunt and to get the pictures. I remember going to see her many times when she lived on Kavanaugh Pl. and since she has been in the retirement homes. We were celebrating Mother's 90th birthday when Aunt Grace went home to be in heaven. We were not aware of her passing, but during the visit with Mother, she said that she wanted to see her Aunt Grace again. And she will one day. She, and our whole family will be with Aunt Grace in heaven. Amen. To all those who loved her and are related, may God bless you and may you look forward to joining her in a blessed eternity.

Mrs. and Mr. Sahli lived in the house next door to my family on Kavanaugh Place. I remember how nice they always were. Mrs. Sahli continued to live there for years after Mr. Sahli died. She was a very sweet lady -- what a long life!!!

Grace was like a mother to my late husband, Jim, while he was growing up at Arkansas Children's Home and Hospital. We have kept in touch through these many years and she will be greatly missed.
