We met Mr. Penick several years ago when he came into our business, we did not know him like many people did, however we do know his son George, who has many of the same character traits that I just read about. To the entire Penick family: we are so saddened for your loss, he was a truly amazing man who has left quite a legacy for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. May peace be with each of you in your time of sorrow.

Ed Penick was a very special man. Beginning when I was a young Worthen employee in 1967 until I decided to pursue a public role on the LR City Board in the past few years, he was a continual source of support and encouragement. Over the years he was counselor, cheerleader, top sergeant, motivator, father figure and, most of all, friend. He leaves a powerful legacy of a strong family, a host of former employees whose lives he influenced in so many ways and a banking industry forever changed by his strong leadership in the 70's and 80's. He was truly a part of the Greatest Generation. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this sad time. Gene and Gaylia Fortson

Ed Jr., George, Charles & family. I'm deeply saddened by the news although Ed had a full highly productive life. I started my banking career at Worthen Bank in the 60's and later got to know Ed from hunting trips at Three Rivers and South Dakota. He was quite a guy.

Our condolences to the entire Penick Family and all of you are in our prayers.
