Biography: David Standley Fox was born on April 12, 1928 in Little Rock to the late Mr. and Mrs. Asa Standley Fox. He passed away suddenly on May 19 at home. He was preceded in death by his daughter, April Lee Fox, a granddaughter, Meredith Fox and a niece, Wendy Fox Griffith. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Martha Ann (Davis) Fox, four sons, David, Jr. (Carol), their children, Nick Collier, Laura, Samantha; Tim, his children, Caitlin and Andrew; Tom (Linda) their children, Lee and Will; Tracy (Ann) their children, Elaina, Audrey and Asa; and Catherine Cothran Fox. He is also survived by a great grandchild, Ryan Collier, and a brother, John Fox, and a niece, Melanie Fox. David was a graduate of Little Rock High School, and the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where he was a member of Sigma Nu. Following graduation, he served two years in the US Army and then joined his father in the CPA firm of Frazee, Fox and Dodge. He was awarded his CPA certificate in 1956 and spent his entire career with the firm of Frazee, Fox & Dodge and was a principal and leader of that firm until his death. During his high school years he started growing orchids as a hobby and when he went off to school, his mother decided to start growing orchids commercially. Land was purchased on West Markham Street where there were already two houses, and they built several greenhouses to accommodate the new business Fox Orchids. He was a member of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church, where in previous years he had served on the Finance Committee, the Board of Stewards and he was a member of the Dietz Dialogue Sunday School class. David also served as President of the Central Arkansas Estate Council, being one of the charter members of that organization and served as President of the Arkansas State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and held CPA licenses with multiple states until his death. Visitation will be at the Ruebel Funeral Home Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 22 at Roselawn Memorial Park, followed by a memorial service (reception to follow the service) at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church at 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church, The Allen School for Exceptional Children or the Methodist Family Health Foundation. It was my pleasure and honor to know Uncle David. I have always admired him as a man of principle, intelligence, ethics and honor. He and Martha Ann raised a loving family that I am proud to know and to have become a part of. He will be forever missed.

With all my love,
Jennifer
