Biography: Pat (Patsy) Boggess, 77 of Little Rock, died Friday, December 8th, from complications of rheumatoid arthritis. She was born September 28, 1929 in Shreveport, LA. The daughter of the late Thelma and Gaston Neck, she was preceded in death by her sister Camille Epting of Jackson, MS. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bob Boggess, daughters Karen Fricke, Pattie Shuffield (Dr. Jim Shuffield, Jr.), Camie Boggess, and four grandchildren, Gaines, Elizabeth, and Wilson Fricke, and Robert Shuffield. A graduate of Byrd High School, Pat attended LSU and Centenary College where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. After wonderful years spent raising her family Pat enjoyed a very successful career as a realtor with Martin McDaniel, Bueter Realty, and Rector-Phillips-Morse; being a member of the Million Dollar Club multiple times. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Country Club, the Departmental Club, Lions World Services for the Blind Auxiliary, and the St. Mark’s Altar Guild. Pat had a passion for flowers and enjoyed her years as a Master Gardener. If the weather permitted she would be working in her yard or tending flowerbeds at the Old State House. The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful staff of the Baptist Coronary Care Unit and the loving care of Dr. Art Squire and Dr. Laura Trigg. Following interment at Pinecrest Cemetery, a celebration of Pat’s life will be held at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, at 11:00am Monday, December 11, with a reception following in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the St. Mark’s Foundation, 1000 North Mississippi, Little Rock, AR 72207 or a charity of your choice. www.ruebelfuneralhome.com

Karen and family -- I just learned of your mother's passing today, January 7th. I am so very sorry, but I do know that she is now happy and pain free. It's awfully hard to say goodbye to a mama, but please know that soon the cold and empty spot you're feeling will be warmed by only the happy memories of good times together. Your mother was one special lady and I'll cherish my own memories of happy times (and times when we might have gotten under her skin just a little bit!)

Dear Bob, Karen, Pattie and Camie
We were so sorry to learn of Pat's death, but happy for her. The last weeks must have been intolerable. We have spent the last week visiting Bob and Kathy plus families; returned Monday, expecting Pat's service to be on Tuesday. So sorry we missed it; I know it was beautiful and Pat would have been pleased. We will see you soon, after your rest period. Our love and prayers are with you -always.
