Biography: James Franklin Cope, age 62, passed away on April 15, 2014 at his residence in Jacksonville, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his mother Betty Jo (Williams) Cope and father Padgett Cope. He is survived by his daughter Mandy Evans and three sons, Chris Cope, Zachary Cope and Landon Cope; two granddaughters, Alayna Evans and Ainslee Evans; one brother Bubba Cope and two sisters Donna Cope Burris and Betty Cope Rains. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 11:00 at Calvary Baptist Church, 5724 R Street, Little Rock, AR with Reverend Randy Rains officiating. Just found out about Jim's passing. He and I umpired AIC, Sunbelt and American Legion baseball together back in the 80's. Always a good time to be had when Jim was around. My condolences to his family and friends.

So sorry to hear of Mr. Jimmy's passing. He was a truly unique man and I am so glad that I had the privilege of his friendship. He will be missed.

We are just now reading Jimmy's obituary or would have attended the memorial service. We have fond memories of the Cope family and Calvary Baptist Church. We have lost touch with you girls, but are glad to see Bubba occasionally.
