We had the honor of working with "Big Bern" for many years. He always had a smile on his face and never had a cross word to say. We have great memories with him on and off the job. Please know your family will be lifted up to our Father above. I pray you find peace and understanding in the fact that we will be joined together again with our loved ones which is stated in the scripture. My heart hurts, for I understand having lost my father recently. Bernie and my dad, Andy Ashworth, were from the "Old School" and they both taught us many "life" lessons. May you see "God moments" until we meet again. Sent with heavy heart, The Tabors

I will miss the kind gentle man who was boss for along time. I will remember the quiet smile especially when he talked to Kathleen. The patience he had with all he worked with. And the chocolates he had hidden in he desk draw and get one out before he would walk the floor. The fresh coffee he liked after lunch. He was a private person when it came to his family, but his eyes would lite up when he was on the phone with Kathleen. I will miss him so much because he taught me so much especially to be kind, patient, and try to understand that family is # 1.

Please accept our sincere condolences for the passing of your father, Bernie. I worked with Bernie twenty years of his career in construction installation with Dillard's stores. He was a kind, considerate, caring Gentleman among gentleman. It was always an enjoyable situation working and talking with Bernie. He is held in highest respect in my memory. May God Bless.....
