Dear Bischof family,
I never knew your mother to be without a smile on her face and laughter in her voice. May your precious memories of her put that same smile on your faces and that same laughter in your voices!

I am so sorry for your loss and offer words of comfort. Rev.21:4 says: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." God always fulfills his promises. (Numbers 23:19)

My fondest memories of Christ Lutheran's staff immediately lead to Mrs. Bischof. She taught me more of English in junior high than I learned until seeking that very major in college. Her humor, kindness, yet utter dedication to teaching will forever have an impact on us students. My grandmother often picked me up in that infamous car pool "swirl" at CLS, and she always spoke to Mrs. B. I called her when I got the news and we talked for a while, remembering her, and I heard wonderful stories that will be in my heart always. I know she's sitting with Jesus now, and however hard it is to lose such a spirit on Earth, we will certainly see her again.

What a class act! Sherry was a true southern lady who never met a stranger. She was among the first to step forward with her talent, compassion and love when needed. To quote a wise man, "the spirit of the dead will survive in the memory of the living."

The heavens received a beautiful angel....I can see my mom embracing her with love as she entered the gates....ahhh, what a beautiful sight!
To all who knew this dear woman, feel blessed in every sense....not only did you have an ever faithful friend, but you got to know a "true" southern woman....( laughing to myself...and knowing her love of literature & plays)...she would have made the movie Steel Magnolias even better had the producers just looked a little harder....lol.
To her dear family, I know this is a great loss, as it will be to anyone who knew her.....remember the treasures she left with you and hold them in your hearts forever. This is definitely one lady who will never be forgotten. Love to you all and may God bless you and embrace you with His peace during this time of healing.

Mrs. B. will live on in her family & students for a very long time. She was a wonderful teacher, a good friend to me & my family, & a fabulous woman all around. She will be missed but never forgotten. "This is she..."

Mrs. Bischof taught me to answer the phone, "This is she," rather than "This is her." She taught me not to let my "halo slip into a noose." And she taught me that a warm smile and a sincere joy to see someone can affect that persons entire day.
I consider Mrs. Bischof my favorite teacher, and the reason that I had the confidence to pursue a degree in Journalism.
Hopefully my daughter will have a Mrs. Bischof someday, even if she can't have the original.

My sincerest condolences

I was deeply saddened when I heard about Mrs. Bischof's passing and in an instant my mind was flooded with precious memories of her. One of the last times I saw Mrs. Bischof, I got the biggest hug from her. Anyone that knew her knows every time you saw her, you saw a smile that couldn't brighten any room. My prayers go out to her family, friends, and students. While we mourn the loss of a great woman, we rejoice in knowing she is with our Lord and Savior.
