Rudy, belated sympathies my long lost friend. I recently heard of Mary Jane's passing and want to tell you how sorry I am. She was a year behind me at Jonesboro High and there was no one more respected. I was really glad to hear the two of you had married because the same could be said of you. I'm sure you enjoyed many happy years together which make this season of life much more difficult. But I also know the Lord will see you through it and richly bless you as only He can. My best to you and your family.

My deepest sympathy to you Rudy and the family. I knew Mary Jane well at 18, a truly beautiful young girl. She was charming, kind and sensitive, talented and unbelievable bright. It's a wondrous blessing to call her 'friend'. Then 50 yrs later I found her still so much the same but with the added wisdom maturity brings. We've lost that wonderful girl. I pray God bless her soul and bless you as you struggle through this grief, ed

I'm so sorry for your loss.
Kathryn Ann,
I'm originally from Jonesboro AR. You may not remember me but when we were MUCH younger and you were visiting Jonesboro, we played and swam together some. I always had such fun and your Mother and family so kind.
With sympathy,
Mary Sloan.

Removing from Pine Bluff to Jonesboro, I learned of the very fine Melton family, the Melton brothers, and of course, Mary Jane. I moved to Little Rock with my family but saw Mary Jane again at the U of A. In all of that time I've had nothing but admiration for her. Her family has lost much. My heartfelt sympathy to all.

Rudy ?
I didn?t get to know Mary Jane as well as I would have liked on my numerous trips to AR over the years, but I know she meant the world to you. It saddens me to think of how difficult it must be for you at this time & I wish there were something I could do to alleviate your grief. My condolences to you & all of Mary Jane?s extended family.

Rudy, I'm so sorry that we lost touch with you the last few years! Still have on my wall the wedding gift to Bob and me so many years ago. I am so sorry that she had been so ill and I did not hear of it. Another friend and Chi O sister whose demise reminds me that I should keep in better touch with those I admire, and I truly admired Mary Jane. God bless you and your family.

Dear Rudy-
Pete and I were very sad to learn of Mary Jane's passing. Recently I was going through my Catechesis of the Good Shepherd album and I found a sweet note from Mary Jane that I had saved. I loved serving the children of St. Margaret's with her. I will miss her kind and loving spirit. Our prayers are with you and her children.
