Jenny, I was so honored to be able to visit a little time with you yesterday, and as I told you, I did not hear of Bill's passing until quite late - one of the hazards of living in the country. He was a "keeper" and it is wonderful that you had so many years together. I've always been very proud that you are my Chi O sister and shall remember him dearly as he was when we were all kids. :) Weezie and Bob Lukas

Jenny,

The Spencer family sends our deepest sympathy to you and your family with the loss of Bill.

As a former football player for my father, Bill was a great comfort and a tremendous source of pride to ?Coach Spencer?. Dad always thought highly of Bill. His friendship and consideration in taking the time to speak at Dad?s funeral last month was ever so gracious? and entertaining! It further emphasizes the esteem with which he was held by my mother as well as by Dad.

Throughout my father?s life, he continually ?followed? Bill, his cohort of classmates, and their achievements. They were a great source of pride for him, and the little quarterback was a favorite.
Sincerely,
Steve Spencer, 869 Hunts Lane

Bill was a good lawyer and a fine fellow. I remember years ago regularly seeing him and Jenny out socially and it was always great bantering with him. Bill and I also had a case or two against each other when he was in the US Attorney's office. I was sorry he learn of his passing.

Bill Adair was a great friend and we will miss him. Love to Jennie from us and I vividly remember Pilot Bill and the Navalon flight from Paragould to Fayetteville. Sometimes facing danger when with the right people can be downright invigorating!!

Jenny, we are so sorry to hear about Bill's passing. We enjoyed his warm smile, quick wit, gracious hospitality, and warm welcome when we visited. You have a lifetime of fond memories to help you as you go forward with your life.
We are so sorry we could not be in Little Rock for the service, and see you and give you big hugs and kisses to help you through the day. Sandy's broken arm is healing, but the pain is too intense to have made the trip. Just know we were with you in spirit and have had our own memorial service here for Bill.
We will remember him always. Please make plans to come and see us here in North Carolina - soon.

We Love You!

Claude and Sandy

Bill was a great friend to my uncle,(his "Coach") Clayton Spencer, visiting him often He brought much cheer to Clayton in his final years and spoke at his funeral only last month in Springfield, Mo. His presence at Clayton's funeral and his friendship with Clayton through the years meant so much, not only to Clayton but to all of Clayton's family. Bill was a wonderful friend, a great man, and a true Christian. He will be missed by many.

I have known Bill since before Junior High School. He was always willing to try new things, while many of us were quite willing to watch and see what would be the outcome. He was a natural leader and there was never a shortage of followers.

He will be missed, but leaves us with many wonderful memories. Jenny our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during these difficult times.

Bill was a fellow attorney and 'a Brother In Justice.' He was my friend. We met in the courtroom on many occasions. He was an honorable man who was blessed with a fine legal talent. Bill had a host of friends who admired and respected him - and all of us will miss him. Our condolences are extended to his beloved family. Please know others join in your sorrow. The wise Greek, 'Aeschylus' said: "There is no pain so great, as the memory of joy in the presence grief."
