So many fond memories of summers spent with the Calhouns --playing with David and Karen at Big Mama's house, that old sleeping porch, walking to Weingarten's in Little Rock and spending a few nickels and dimes, picnics at MacArthur Park and Boyle Park, our famous driving trip to San Antonio for the HemisFair in 1968, which was fantastic and so much fun! Then, as the years went by, and I became a teacher, I remember all the classroom and student stories Earline and I shared. I still treasure a few things she passed on to me when she retired -- a special handmade shelf, her bell, and a few "old school" slates, among other knick-knacks from years of teaching. All these things are very dear to me, as are all my memories of Earline and family.

Earline was the dearest Sister one could ever have! Growing up she made beautiful dresses and things to wear and let her other three sisters wear them first!
We have many fond memories of picnics with the family on special occasions. She loved getting together for any family visit.
We had many miles between us from CA to MN in our retirement years but we talked often on the phone. I'll surely miss her.
We have to remember our loved ones do not pass on, but they go and wait for us!
