Biography: William Hart Lane, age 87, of Little Rock, died Wednesday, November 16, 2006 at St. Andrews Place in Conway. He was born September 24, 1919 in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Robert Sidney and Lovett Noel Lane. A veteran of the U. S. Army in World War II, he graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. He was a principal partner in the architectural firm of Stuck, Frier, Lane, Scott, and Beisner. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ruth “Betty” Lane; daughters, Lucy Brannon of Jacksonville, Florida, Susan Buckner of Pine Bluff, Betsy Morton of Dallas, Texas, and Anne Paget of Houston, Texas; brothers, Robert Lane of Alpharetta, Georgia, Henry Lane of Oceanside, California, and Thomas Lane of Oceanside, California; nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 24, 2006 in the Chapel of Ruebel Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Harriett Akins-Banman.
