Biography: Brooks L. Rosen, 75, of Little Rock passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013. Brooks was born December 1, 1938 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Louis and Vivian B. Rosen. He is survived by his daughter Laine Rosen Poe and her husband Antoine F. Poe, as well as by his sister Sallye Rosen Mann of Tulsa Oklahoma. Brooks graduated from Little Rock Central High School in 1956 then attended Tulane University receiving a BBA in 1960. After completing his education Brooks began work in insurance, investments and real estate. He is a former member of the Better Business Bureau, Little Rock Chamber of Commerce, and Rotary Club of Little Rock. He is also the former Treasurer of Temple B?nai Israel and the former Trustee of Arkansas Children?s Hospital and the Leo N. Levi National Arthritis Hospital. Brooks also served in the Arkansas National Guard from May 1962 till May 1968. A memorial service will be held in Ruebel Funeral Home on Saturday, January 4, 2013 at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers memorial should be made to UAMS or a charity of your choosing. Arrangements are under the direction of Ruebel Funeral Home, www.ruebelfuneralhome.com

I just saw that Brooks passed away and I am sorry for your loss. I worked for Brooks in the late 1970's at Williams and Rosen and then later at Atkins Insurance Company. I remember Brooks being a great and caring boss. I had a lot of respect for Brooks and he was definitely one of the good guys!!!

I have just learned of Brooks passing and I am so very sorry. I send condolences to all the family. I worked for Louis and Brooks at Williams and Rosen many years ago. Such a true gentleman in every sense.

My heartfelt sympathy to Brooks' family. He and Louis sent my son to Ati Day as benefactors. Louis was good friends with my grandfather and Brooks was friends with my mother. I had the honor of meeting Brooks and thanking him for the impact the Rosens have made in our lives. A gracious and very kind man. He will be missed and thought of often.My son got his start in life because of his generosity. Our most sincere condolences from all the Karchers.

Laine, I haven't been able to get you off my mind since hearing about your dad last night. The love you and he had for each other was so very evident. I know how very tough it is to lose a parent. I lost my mom 6 yrs ago and I lost my dad when I was 8. It's something you never really get over, nothing will feel 'normal' again, but as the years go by you will discover your 'new' normal.I want you to know that you, your husband,and Lollie are all in my prayers in the days and weeks to come. I am grateful I had the pleasure of meeting your dad, if even just once, sharing wonderful bbq ribs on a beautiful evening on the terrace at Chez Tony-Laine. He has a beautiful legacy in you, Laine, and in you as well, Tony. I love you both dearly, but especially and more poignantly deeply so now.
