As the medical librarian at Baptist, I met Dr. Gardner when he first came to practice there. He was my son's doctor and then my doctor for many years until he retired. I'll never forget the care he had for his patients. He even called me back personally to discuss a medical issue I was having when I had called his office about the issue. My condolences to the family of a genuine and caring man.

My husband and I have treated Guy's beloved hunting dogs for years. He was a one of a kind, with a huge warm smile and a very giving heart. He would always ask how we were doing and just took the time to visit. We also did
Some human audiology procedures at his office one time on his beloved Jill. He will be greatly missed by us as a client and a friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this very difficult time.

Dr. Gardner was my doctor almost from the beginning of his career until he retired from practice. We have kept in touch over the years running into each other at seminars, etc. He was a man of integrity, had a great sense of humor and always was very encouraging. I wish I had known of his illness and I would have certainly visited with him. I know he has found peace and is smiling down upon us with the big smile he always wore. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Our prayers are with you.

Guy and my husband (Dr. Russell Cranford) were in the same medical school class (UAMS 1976) and remained friends in the ensuing years. We will never forget that Guy came to visit every day after my husband's heart surgery in the summer of 2012, to check on him and his progress. We will always remember his kindness and friendship over the years. Wishing you God's grace and peace as you say goodbye to him.
