Brenda, my heart aches for you because I know exactly what you're going through. No words that I offer will comfort you or make it better, but just know that I am always here if you need to talk. My son was also 22 when he passed away. They were just "children"! I am very sorry and just know you're in my thoughts and prayers, more often than you'll ever know! My son Will was a friend of Leslie's at Ole Miss. She meant a lot to him and as a result to my family and me as well. I regret that I did not know her better, but am thankful for the time that I was able to spend with her. Proverbs 17:22 says: "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine". I will remember Leslie with a "merry heart" from our conversation in The Grove. I am praying and will continue to pray for you and your family - that comfort and peace will come to you eventually.

Mrs. Cooper and Scott,
I will deeply miss Leslie and remember her as one of the kindest, most loving and wonderful souls that I have ever met. She was a dear friend of mine, and my brothers James and Frank from Ole miss, and we are all saddened by your loss. There was no one else in this world that possessed the light and love that Leslie did- please know that her angel will continue to look down upon and guide us through this life. I am lucky to have been touched by such a beautiful, genuine girl and I will cherish every moment of friendship I had with her. May peace, love and prayer help you through this most difficult time. I know she and her daddy are in heaven together, watching over and protecting us all. Please know that Leslie was a wonderful young woman that brought joy, comfort and happiness to so many, and she will live in my heart forever.
With love and prayers, Caroline Barber
