I had the great privilege and good fortune of cruising the Caribbean with Frances on the occasion of her lifelong friend, Sis Tobler's wedding to Barry Moore (She was the matron of honor; I gave the bride away). The two of us spent many happy hours together on that trip and she regaled our whole party with delightful stories of her life and times. What a character! How lucky I am -- and all of us who knew her can surely say the same -- to carry a piece of her light inside me.

Love and thoughts to the family. Frances touched us all.

To the family of Mrs. Frances Shackelford... it was such a blessing to know her. She was so classy and friendly and down to earth. I could see her in her grandchildren, especially the artistic side of her personality. We're praying for your strength in the Lord.

My gosh! I have so many memories of Mrs. Frances. She was always a generous person who wanted to do what she could and so funny. I remember my dad telling me about a trip to Virginia, and he was driving like he was driving Ms. Daisy. She told him to put the peddle to the metal! She may be gone, but her spirit will live with us forever. We're praying for you...

GT worked for her and her mom for over 50 years. We found Mrs. Frances to be a very caring and giving person. She was always so understanding. Our hearts are aching, and we are praying for you during your loss.

I was sadden to read and hear of France's passing. She was one to my mothers favorite friends and was always fun to be around. She knew how to have a very good time and always wanted everyone to have a good time. I remember many good times at the Montrose house and all of the fun that was had by all. I know she will be missed by all that knew her and she will live on in the memories of tall of her friends.

Dear Gladys,
Your mom was always fun to visit - I never left her at a meeting or her house without a huge smile on my face and feeling great. She just made me feel special - she made everyone feel special. I am so thankful that I was lucky enough to know her and to work with her on UAMS boards. You must have some incredible memories! You are in my thoughts. m

To the family, I pray that the Lord will heal your broken heart. But there is peace to know that she live a good and productive life. She was a great inspirational to my family and our church. As long as I live, I can never forget her. She loved people and especailly if she knew you were trying hard to be a good person and get an education, she was there for support. I love her and her family and I hope that her and Larry Spratt have met as he loved her also. May God bless your entire family. Love From Joseph Carlton and family.
