I have just now learned of Ethel's death and am so very sad to hear she is gone. I first met Ethel when I became her Graduate Assistant at the University of Arkansas and she was one of my best profs, a mentor, and yet most importantly she was my friend. She had a profound effect on so many students that her influence will continue to be felt like the ripples caused by a stone tossed into still waters. She was a true lady and yet was down to earth. We spent many lunch times at little dives around the Fayetteville area - The Blue Bird Caf? and places that surprised the people who only knew Ethel as the polished professional, the excellent speaker, and the well groomed college professional. I shall miss her wit and counsel. I feel sure her family has no idea the full extent her kind leadership has had. She will continue to live through the positive traits she helped mold in the men and women she taught and mentored over the years.

Bill and Judy,
I saw Floyd Thomas last week. He mentioned seeing your mother's name in the Ark Democrat-Gazette. So sorry to read about her passing.
Be thankful for the years you had her nearby. Now she will be even closer being in your heart. May GOD be with you.

Bill and Judy,
What a wonderful lady! Was so privileged to have known her "way back when" she received her doctoral degree with my Dad as her major professor at Peabody. (Bill, as you know, I remember you as a little fellow there, too.) Then it has been a blessing to reconnect with all of you in Little Rock. Prayerful thoughts to you.

I was privileged to be in a class at UA Fayetteville that was taught by Dr. Trice. Even though that was many years ago, I remember that she was one of the best professors I had. She must have been a wonderful mother and grandmother too. May God bless her family during these hard days with happy memories and loving friends to surround them.
