Biography: Forrest Henry Abrams died tragically and unexpectedly in the early-morning hours, Friday, May 10, 2013, at the age of 18. Forrest was born October 13, 1994, in Little Rock into a close family, who are mourning his loss deeply. Forrest is survived by his parents, Chris and Amy Russell; sisters Alex Abrams and Bethany Russell of Fayetteville and Little Rock; his beloved dog and sidekick, Bubba; Grandparents Joyce Franklin of Little Rock; Gilbert and Pam Korenblat of Little Rock; Nash and Marilyn Abrams of Little Rock; Mary Francis Abrams of Little Rock; and Leigh Anne and Alice Anne Russell of Little Rock. Other relatives in mourning include, but are by no means limited to his aunt, Ellen Korenblat, her husband Luke Kramer and their two children, Henry and Tess; and his uncle David Korenblat, all of Little Rock. Forrest was and will remain a free spirit who loved playing and writing music, especially on his guitar. His artistic nature and creativity shone through in his drawing as well. Forrest also enjoyed camping and being outdoors; but most of all, Forrest enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Forrest aspired to someday help troubled youth in some capacity through therapy or mentorship. Experiencing first hand his warm heart, gentle nature and generosity, this could be easily realized. Forrest touched the hearts of many of his friends and family by reminding them to ?keep growing,? a favorite saying of his. Forrest will always be remembered for his incredible sense of humor, by naming his dog Bubba, he knew friends would make the connection. There will be a memorial service Thursday May 16, 2013 at 11 am in Ruebel Funeral Home. Donations in memory of Forrest may be made to the Joseph Pfeifer Kiwanis Camp, 5512 Ferndale Cutoff, Little Rock, AR 72223. Arrangements by Ruebel Funeral Home, www.ruebelfuneralhome.com.

It hurts my heart to know the world lost such a influential person. Forrest was a great guy and I am very glad i was able to spend elementary and middle school years around him. He even taughht me how to ride a skateboard in the 3rd grade. We would hangout at his house and eat roman noodles all day. I will never forget the times i spent with Forrest during my childhood and will forever remeber him as the great friend he was to all. God recieved a special person this week. Rest In Peace FoFo

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I will miss Forest coming to Jefferson every year to visit before school started. I still listen to the music he would make for me each year. I enjoyed having him in my class at Jefferson. He was always kind, caring and respectful.

Oh, Amy, Alex, Joyce and the rest of Forrest's loving family, my heart is oh, so heavy for you guys. Forrest was such a sweet soul as you know so well. He was one of the few babies I got to connect to and love in my life. He was always thoughtful and so respectful when I got to come visit. I so wish I could be there for you and just hug you and give my love! I love you guys so much. I'll be back in the states late June and will be up to see you and hold you then. Until then, sending you my prayers and love.

Forrest was an amazing person always making people smile even when they were down. He always knew how to brighten my day, even if it was just a text or coming over randomly and checking on me making sure i was okay or when he thought about someone he would let them know. He was so thoughtful and kind hearted. Him and his family are in my prayers and not one day will go by i wont think about all the memories we had. He was loved and still is by everyone. Rest in Peace Marlow, you will forever be remembered!

Forrest was absolutely one of the kindest and most fun kids to hang out with. Even my friends still remember his shining personality which is really saying something. If a little boy can manage to make such a great impression on a bunch of pre-teen girls, he's obviously got it going on. He was a great kid with an amazing heart which is clearly displayed by the huge amount of people mourning his loss. I always loved running into him in more recent years because he always had that same smile on his face and of course that same great, kind heart. His free spirit and legacy won't be forgotten and I know all of his loved ones will feel his presence in their daily lives. This is yet another reminder that only the good die young. Forrest is already so, so missed but tons of people will be smiling in his memory. So much love for his family and friends.

Forrest was my favorite friend of Wilson's back in the day. He was always so sweet to us and was a great friend to Wilson. We have been talking over many good memories of him these past few days. We are so very sorry this tragedy has occurred, but know that he is at peace and in a better place. Our hearts go out to all of you in such a hard time. He has a truly good soul that will live on forever in the many lives he touched.
