Phyills was Yankee who epitomized southern hospitality. Every time I saw her she smiled and laughed, usually about some of John's shenanigans when we were growing up. What a wonderful selfless wife, mother grandmother and friend. I will miss her. So glad she is at peace.

Auntie Phil. I feel much sorrow for the loss of such a wonderful person; joy that her suffering has ended. Admiration and respect for a life well-lived. She had wisdom and wit. And a terrific sense of humor. I can not recall spending time with her when laughter wasn't a big part of the equation. She was smart and so energetic. Always fun to be with. She and Uncle Bud raised a beautiful, talented family. I feel lucky to be related to the Millers. Her vibrant spirit will be with us always. She will be missed so very much.

Phyllis was a model of true southern hospitality. When visiting my sister Gaea, John's wife, she would telephone to offer loan of her car for transportation and luncheon invitations. It was always a pleasure talk with her! And, she was a favorite of her grand kids. That's golden!

Phyllis was tiny but she was mighty. She was someone my Mother always looked up to. She was so smart but never condescending. She was the best Sunday School teacher ever, and I wasn't even looking for a good one when I found her. She could walk faster and further that folks half her age and do it in Weeguns not some fancy hi tech shoes. She was an amazing woman from an amazing generation. I am so glad she is at peace.
