Mary Jane left a message for my father Ray schoonhoven at his cottage just before she died and I just recieved it today. Mary Jane was Inquiring about my Dad. He and Jim were best friends and roommates in college. Jim was also the best man in my parents wedding in Chicago in1943. I'm very sorry for your loss and the opportunity to speak with your Mom.

Mary Jane was a great person and always interesting to be around. The thing I really enjoyed about her was frankness and not afraid to say what she thought. No political correctness in her. My prayers and thoughts are with the family

To the family of Mary Jane; our family got to know Mary Jane through my mom, Sue Malcolm, at Presbyterian Village. They sat at the same table to eat and I frequently joined them. All of the Malcolms including my Dad, Dusty Malcolm, loved Mary Jane - she was wonderful, funny, smart, always positive and always wanted to listen and share with us. All of us will miss her terribly. She provided us all with an example of how to live and how to enjoy life even when times were tough!
