Biography: Janice Ross Yeatman died Saturday, February 9, 2013, at the age of 79, peacefully and unexpectedly in Tulsa, OK. She was born February 3, 1934, in Hamburg, AR, to the late Harvey and Sally (Estelle) Ross. Janice grew up in Crossett, AR and graduated from Arkansas A&M (now the University of Arkansas at Monticello) in 1954. She married the late Robert L. Yeatman, also from Crossett, in 1956. Following Bob?s graduation from the University of Arkansas, they moved to Little Rock, where they spent their lives together and raised their family. Once her children were through elementary school, Janice returned to school to obtain her nursing degree, graduating first in her class in 1973 from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Nursing. After working at Arkansas Children?s Hospital for 2 years, Janice accepted a position as a school nurse for the Little Rock Public School District, a position she held for almost 20 years, retiring in 1994 to spend her time spoiling her much adored grandchildren. Janice was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother -- her greatest joy and accomplishment were her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling with family, time spent with her ?school nurses crew,? playing bridge, and reading by the ocean at Navarre Beach. She moved to Fayetteville in 2011 and then to Tulsa in 2012 to be near her son and daughter and their families. Janice was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Robert L. Yeatman, her son Gregory L. Yeatman, her sister Peggy Ross Lyon, and her parents, Harvey and Sally Ross. She is survived by her daughter Dana Yeatman Baldwin and husband Pat of Tulsa, OK; her son Ross A. Yeatman and wife Holly of Fayetteville; her grandchildren Jake Baldwin, Ellen Yeatman, Chris Yeatman and Katie Yeatman; her daughter-in-law Virginia Yeatman; her brother Lin Ross and wife Julia of Bella Vista; her sister Judyth Ross of Exeter, NH; and numerous nieces and nephews. Janice was a member of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church in Little Rock, where a memorial service will be held Thursday, February 14, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Pulaski Heights Methodist Church, 4823 Woodlawn, Little Rock, AR, 72205; St. Simeon?s Episcopal Home, 3701 N. Cincinnati, Tulsa, OK, 74106; or a charity of your choosing. Arrangements are being handled by Ruebel Funeral Home, www.ruebelfuneralhome.com.

Ross,

Perry and I are so sorry for your loss. We are keeping you and your family in our prayers. I still remember your Mom being so sweet to me. She and I laughed in your kitchen many, many times; she was quite the funny lady.
