I was a childhood of Mary Alices while she was living in Camden. Although I leved in Shreveport, I spent many happy days in Camden. My Mother was Caroline Gaughan. She married Arthur Roderick Carmody and lived in Shreveport. As children Mary Alice, medora Sifford spent much time with each other, spending the night in the McCllelan home, Sifford home or Gaughan haome. We loved to cook fudge, talk, walk to town and buy paper dolls. Medora died some years ago. I am in good health and still go to Camden frequently.

Fond memories of a wonderful lady, gracious, professional, and a friend while we worked together at VA Hospital in Surgery. Mary could always to counted on to lead the Cancer Program but also was a very invested person who volunteered and work behind many scenes to accomplish the best for our veterans. I know her father and other family are glad to see her now. Prayers for those who mourn her passing but hopefully their memories will help brighten their their days.

Hello Harry. Sue Ann has so enjoyed her time with your Mom at BSF these past years and spoke of her often. Your Mom was always so nice to me when we were kids, and would still occasionally ask Sue Ann how I'm doing. So sweet. I knew she had been in hospice, and had hoped to be able to attend the service with Sue, but am in PA school up in Searcy during the week and unfortunately won't be able to be there. I hope you are doing well and that we can see each other sometime soon to catch up. You have my email (attached); let me know when you are in town during a weekend and we can grab a coke together.

Lisa and Roger: Mrs. McDermott leaves a wonderful heritage in your lives. I know that you have enjoyed living next to her, and pray that the Lord will bring you both peace and joy over the thought of her in the coming days. Roger: as with Harry, it would be great to see you again. I've been really out of touch with everybody due to this school thing. I'm not doing music at this time and that's why you haven't seen me on that scene lately, but if you email me perhaps we can get together on a weekend.

God Bless.

My deepest sympathy to the McDermott Family. Mary Alice was a unique and wonderful person and I know how much she meant to "Ole Mac." I know how much my mother, Norma Cheatham LaFevers, cared about Mary Alice.
My very kindest regards.
