Biography: Dorothy Padgett Richardson, 89, of Little Rock died on January 8, 2013 at Baptist Health Medical Center. Born September 27, 1923 in Little Rock, she was the only child born to Mr. A.D. (Jack) and Mrs. Corine Preston Padgett. She attended Little Rock High School. After graduating, she began working at the Federal Reserve doing accounting. She soon met the love of her life, A. Haynes Richardson III, and they were married on October 13, 1951. Until recent years, Dorothy was very active. She spent most mornings walking at Park Plaza Mall and then having coffee with her friends in the food court before the mall opened. She was an active member of her AARP chapter, where she served as an officer, as well as a long time member of the United Methodist Women's group of Henderson United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially when she got the chance to take care of and play with her great-grandson, Wyatt. She loved her granddaughters and never missed a chance to attend their performances and soccer games. Dorothy will be remembered for her sweet personality and as someone who loved being around her family. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, A. Haynes Richardson III, both of her parents, brother-in-law James Edward Richardson, and sister-in-law Hilda Richardson. She is survived by her daughter, Patti Richardson Boccarossa of Little Rock and her husband Larry Boccarossa; son, Robert Richardson of Tampa, Florida; four grandchildren: Stephen Boccarossa, Jennifer Boccarossa, Ashley Boccarossa McNatt and her husband Gabe McNatt, all of Little Rock, and Stephanie Boccarossa Short and her husband James Short of Jacksonville; three great-grandchildren, Olivia and Austin Boccarossa of Frisco, Texas, and the joy of her life, Wyatt Boccarossa of Little Rock; and two sister-in-laws, Patricia Richardson of Little Rock and Mary Ruth Richardson of Maumelle. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Henderson United Methodist Church, 13000 W. Baseline Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72210. The service will be conducted by Reverend David Steele. A burial will follow the service at Pinecrest Memorial Park. The family would like to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to the nurses and staff at Baptist Health Medical Center Intensive Care Unit South for their love and care of Dorothy during her recent illness. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Mount Saint Mary Academy Foundation, 3224 Kavanaugh Blvd., Little Rock, AR 72205. Arrangements by Ruebel Funeral Home, www.ruebelfuneralhome.com.

Dear Patti and Robert and Family:

I had the honor and pleasure of living across Evergreen/Mellon from your sweet mama, Dorothy and your cut up daddy, Haynes. My youngest daughter, Sarah Rodgers, absolutely adored them, as we did .And, who wouldn't?! I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I know that it is painful as I have lost both my parents in the past year. But, you know they are up in Heaven having a wonderful life there.

Dear Patti and Robert,
I am sorry about the passing of your mother and my long-time friend of 80 years. I have very fond memories of us being neighbors and students at Garland School and attending MYF at Henderson Methodist Church as pre-teens and teen=agers, continuing through many years afterward.

Love and best wishes,
Bill
