Biography: Charles "Chuck" "Charlie" Monroe Hoover, 74, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord on December, 7th, 2012. He was born in Galesburg, IL to the late Truman and Katherine Hoover. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Judy, baby brother Irving, and daughter Holly. He is survived by his wife Sherry, his former wife Judy, his son Greg (of Wichita, KS), step-daughters April Allaben (Tim) and Amanda Hatfield (Rob), and grandson William all residents of Little Rock, along with his sister Nancy Finn (Tom) of Illinois and brothers Dan (Christina) of Georgia and Terry (Evon) of Oklahoma. Chuck had a passion for aviation and began a career in the aircraft industry working for Cessna Aircraft in Wichita, KS in 1960. After working at Cessna for 10 years he transferred to Rockwell Aircraft in Albany, GA from1970-72 and back to Cessna in 1972. He finally settled in Little Rock working for Desault Falcon Jet in 1978. He retired from Desault in 2008, but kept in touch with all of the friends he made there over the years. Chuck also had a deep appreciation for history and technology along with a zest for life. He was a man who was adventurous, loved to travel and never met a stranger. He is of the Catholic faith and had a heart of gold. A visitation will be held at Ruebel Funeral Home, 6313 W Markham St., Little Rock, AR 72205 on Thursday, December 13th from 6-8pm. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all of the staff at Baptist Extended Care for their love and support in his final days. I worked with Charlie at DFJ. He was a fun character to work with. We really enjoyed our time with him! Rest in peace, buddy!!
