Biography: Virginia (Gannaway) Bland died on December 1, 2012. She was born on August 10, 1920, the daughter of Hilda Dacus and Troy Seburn Leftwich of Booneville, AR. She married John Robert Gannaway in 1939 and they had two children, Carolyn Francis and John Richard. After her husband died she became a manager for Avon in Little Rock for several years. She married John Bland of Carthage, AR, in 1961. She obtained a license as a beautician and practiced at Presbyterian Village for many years. After the death of her second husband, she moved to Arlington Virginia to be close to family. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Gannaway Barbour of Arlington and her son, John Richard Gannaway of Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held at Ruebel Funeral Home 6313 W. Markham from 12-2 on Saturday, December 8 with graveside ceremonies shortly thereafter at Roselawn Memorial Park in Little Rock.
