I love reading everyone's posts. It's hard to believe he is gone & we won't hear his "goofy" laugh anymore as polly called it! LOL! And yes, he was the life of the party, always smiling...i'm not sure I even remember Dad frowning??? And Jim, never even thought about ya'll hanging out as kids & getting into trouble etc. I loved reading that & seeing you yesterday! It's been awhile!! Steve, I wish you & Mark had been able to come, & I'm sure ya'll have plenty of stories to tell! Keep on posting I love reading these.

So sorry to hear about Fred. My brother, Philip, called to tell me. He read about it in the Little Rock paper. I first met Fred in fifth grade at Lee Elementary School. He was known as Freddy then and little brother Buddy. He was my best friend for many years but we lost touch over the years. I remember when he got a red Mustang Motor Scooter. That scooter would really go fast. We had some great times. It appears he had a great life and a wonderful family. My sympathy to his family.

On behalf of my brother Mark Evans and myself, we will miss Fred, he was always close to me. Many memories of him talking to his "Uncle Tommy" ( my dad). and onwards thru life with his adventures. He often talked to me via e/m regarding me moving to CR. I probably would have, had my wife not become ill, and past away this year. He always said, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. I have lived my life the same way. I also believe, especially since my wife passed away, that always search in your soul to turn a negative to a positive. As I told Bud, we do not cry for Fred now, only for ourselves that miss him so much. He lived a wonderful life, and in the spirit of a true Evans. God bless you all. Let us stay in touch, as an Evans Family. Stephen D. Evans

Bud, Scott and family,

Thinking about all of you and also thinking about the many happy times with Fred in our youth. Especially the times our families spent together at "The Lake" in Hot Springs. Fred was full of ideas, most good (some not so good) for competitive games, interesting adventures all accompanied with that unique laugh. Bud, so glad you had that special week with Fred at just the right time. My God bless and comfort you in the days ahead.

Grover and Scott, I am so sorry to hear about Fred. I only knew him a short time and not very well, and can only say what I knew about him was good, and I know that you both cared deeply about him. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and the entire family.
Bob
