Biography: James Middleton (?Buzzy?) Ray, Jr., 79, died Sunday, November 11, 2012, following a brief illness. He was born April 8, 1933, in Scott, AR, to the late James Middleton and Virginia Collins Ray. Mr. Ray is survived by his wife of 53 years, Madelyn Brown Ray and their daughters, Christe Eades (David), Braun Campbell (John), and Jamie Morrow (Richard) and eight grandchildren. A Korean War veteran and retired farmer, he passionately pursued stewardship of the land and enjoyment of the outdoors. An elder and former trustee of First Lutheran Church, he also volunteered with their blind ministry and weekly at St. Vincent?s Infirmary. Visitation will be Thursday, November 15, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Ruebel Funeral Home. A Thanksgiving memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 21 at First Lutheran Church, Eighth and Rock Streets, Little Rock.
