Biography: Judith Gail Sesser Glover passed away on November 5th, 2012 after a brief illness. She was born on August 15, 1942, in Malvern, AR to Austin Ramey and Margaret Fowler Sesser. She attended Malvern Public Schools, graduating in 1960, and earned her BSE in English from Henderson State Teachers College (Henderson State University) in 1963. In 1964 she married Lawson E. Glover, Jr. and worked to support their young marriage during Lawson?s years as a medical student, intern, and resident. They have two children, Amy Glover Bryant (Kent) of Little Rock, and Christopher Lawson Glover of Modesto, CA. She is also survived by her brother George Sesser (Mary) of Warrensburg, MO, two grandchildren, Jackson Thomas and Amy Caroline Bryant of Little Rock, and by many nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and, last but not least her beloved pets Mr. Bill, Athena, and Fritz. Judy spent her life challenging herself professionally and intellectually. After college, she taught 11th grade English for one year at North Little Rock High School, and for five years at Central High School in Little Rock, where her grandson is now a freshman. When her children were old enough to go to school, she earned a second BA, in Journalism. She then enrolled in graduate school of Journalism at UALR and was one of the university?s first MA?s in that subject. She taught writing at UALR, was a staff writer at the Arkansas Democrat, and wrote for numerous local and national magazines. In the 1980?s she began her own public relations business, Judy Glover Communications. She also worked in public relations for the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, Treatment Homes, Inc., and other businesses and non-profit organizations in Little Rock. She was also a member of the Outreach Committee of the Governor?s Commission on Adult Literacy. In the mid 1990?s she decided to return to UALR and earned her Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW). For two years she worked at the Counseling Clinic in Benton and earned her license as an LCSW. She then worked as a therapist at Pinnacle Pointe Hospital in Little Rock. In the course of her career as a therapist, Judy studied Jungian psychology in Memphis. She incorporated much of what she learned from Jung and his interpreters into her own private practice in psychotherapy. She retired in 2011. Since her retirement she has rediscovered her early passion for painting, spent many pleasant afternoons playing Mah Jong with a group of neighborhood friends, and read widely in her many intellectual interests. Above all, she has enjoyed spending her time and sharing her love with her two grandchildren, in Little Rock and on weekends at Heber Springs. Judy was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, an ordained Elder, and a member of the Adult Choir. Honorary pallbearers are Phyllis Billingsley, Ruthe Kaplan, Nancy Milbourn, Dr. Philip J. Peters, Cherry Silliman, and Dail Stiles. A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ruebel Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 10 a.m. in 2nd Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to CARE for Animals, Inc., P.O. Box 7604, Little Rock, AR 72217 or to Second Presbyterian Church Adult Choir, 600 Pleasant Valley Drive, 72227. Arrangements are under the direction of Ruebel Funeral Home, www.ruebelfuneralhome.com

I was so saddened and shocked to just now learn of Judy's passing over 7 months ago. I was a student of hers at North Little Rock High School in the 60's and she was one of my very favorite teachers. Later, we became friends when we worked together in the 1980's as she contracted me to photograph for assignments when she owned her public relations business. I admired her and will always remember Judy.

To Lawson and family, my heart is very heavy to see this announcement and I wish I could say something that would ease your pain. I knew Judy in the late 60's when I was a young woman and she was very kind and encouraging to me. I have always remembered her with a smile for her grace, kindness, interest, and hospitality. I am so sorry about your loss but I hope you all tell each other happy stories about her accomplishments and focus on the happy days rather than the sad ones. May God give you His peace. Thank you, Judy, for your kindness and friendship.

I'm so sorry to hear of Mrs. Glover's passing. I was in her English class at LRCHS and she was quite an inspiration to me, always very encouraging and such a great teacher. She was one of the major influences in my career choice (journalism). I hope in brings the family comfort to know how many lives she touched.

Judy & I were sorority sisters at Henderson many years ago. I've never forgotten her & good times we had there. Wish we had kept in touch over the years, but only met occasionally. She was a good friend and lovely person I'll remember always.

Dear Lawson and family,

My heart is heavy and saddened to hear of the loss of Judy. I was so excited to visit with you both in August and have wonderful photos to share with you.

When Treatment Homes was organized almost 30 years ago, Judy was the one that helped us craft our message to the public on the plight of foster children with emotional problems. We have not had another public relations professional that really understood and was as committed to our work with foster children. This strong committment eventually led her to complete her degree in social work.

What an awesome lady!! We will truly miss her. Our prayers and thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

Lawson & Family, As I remember Judy back at MHS, I as a sophomore, she as a senior, I recall a very precious, kind & talented girl with pretty strawberry-colored hair. She was quite different than so many, never too busy to spend time with us. How very rare! We all loved & admired her sweet, giving spirit. Please know all of you are in our prayers at this difficult time. Now Judy is truly a heavenly angel! Our Love,
Bill & Jan Lawson Keith

I sat with Judy at Life Quest 2 weeks ago - we visited about our lives, 1963-1967, when our husbands were in medical school together. We laughed about some of our memories - others were not as funny. It is hard to believe she is gone. We will all miss her. I am so sorry. Love, Janet

Lawson,
Mother and I are so deeply sorry about Judy. I wish so much that I had known her better considering our education backgrounds. We would have had some common ground to talk about. It is definately my loss that I didn't make more of an effort to know her better. If we can help in any way please let me know.

Dear Lawson and family,

Our hearts are sad. We so enjoyed knowing your family over 30 years ago at Grace Church. I remember one dinner in your home in which we took great delight at the hamster (or gerbil?) in its exercise ball. Judy was an animal lover from way back. I also recall that some of us were discussing diets and one person said, "Well, we can eat all the strawberries we want." Judy added, "Yes, as long as you know I put a cup of sugar in there." Another time we were in my car, and I was apologizing for the disheveled condition. She said, "Oh, Toran, a car is just a bigger version of a messy purse!" Both those comments were so "Judy"! A proper card will follow, Lawson, but I felt compelled to share two upbeat memories. You and your family are in our prayers. Toran and James Isom

Dear friends and family of Judy, you have my sympathy and prayers. I work with George, her brother, and suspect she was in many ways like George, a very thoughtful and caring person. I hope that your memories of her will be a comfort.

Dear Lawson, Amy, Kent, Jack, Caroline and family:
It breaks my heart and spirit to hear the news about Judy. She was a wonderful person and soul. I not only knew Judy from our wonderful church, but knew her from her Days at Pinnacle Pointe Hospital where we worked at that time. Dr. Jim always thouth she was one the best therapists. He loved it when she was assigned to his patients. I also will cherrish memories of visiting with Judy at Little Rock Hair Productions where we would go and get our hair done.
Please know that your family will remain in our prayers and that I love you guys. Let me know if there is anything I can do. May God grant you and all of us Peace at this time.

Peace of Christ:
Michael Upson, Alexia, and Dr. Jim.
