Biography: Dorothy Marie Bielefeld died at home Friday, September 14, 2012. She was born in Louisville, KY June 29th, 1920, to Christian G. and Irene M. Schneider. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Col.(Ret.) Henry E. Bielefeld and daughters, June Hemphill and son-in-law Col.(Ret.) Fred Hemphill, Jan Zelnick and son-in-law Dr. Paul Zelnick, all of Little Rock. She was a devoted grandmother to David Hemphill of Jackson, WY., Capt. Marc Zelnick and wife Amanda of Clarksville, TN, Julie Zelnick of Washington, DC and Lauren Hemphill of Bear, DE. She was an active member of St. James UMC and LifeQuest of AR. The family extends special gratitude to neighbors, friends, extended family, Angels of AR and Hospice of AR for their love and kindness. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 2 p.m. at St. James UMC.
