On behalf of the VMI community, we are saddened to hear of the loss of our "Sister Rat" Nita. At VMI we refer to each other as Brother Rats so Sister Rat is a term of endearment. Nita helped me organize our VMI Reunions in recent years and rarely missed an event. Our dinners, trips to the races, and cruise on the Arkansas were Nita's ideas. She knew how to enjoy life and dearly loved her husband, Billy Sunday Clark, and her family. Though our senior member, she was youthful in her thinking. She was a dear friend to my wife and me. You all were blessed to have had this gracious and thoughtful lady in your lives. GB. Jim & Tish Dittrich

Jim and I got to know Nita and Bill through the 20th Century Club and Friday nights at PVCC. They were a really fun couple. Nita was the perfect example of a gracious southern lady, many of us tried to imitate her. She will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I have great memories of this precious lady, and a lady she was indeed. I saw her each week when I worked at the Regions bank in the Heights.
She was always in a good mood and would stay and we would talk til I had a customer come in my Office. she will be missed indeed.

Pam and Andy I have so many wonderful memories of your Mom from school and being at your house when we were kids. She was the sweetest ladie, but she did't let us get away with too much. I used to run into her at the grocery store amd she always had a smile and a hug for me. We will all miss her. I'll try to see you Tuesday. Linda

Nita was the ultimate southern lady. She and Bill had such a profound influence on my husband, Walt, and me. We will never forget them, and I'll bet she and Bill are dancing on the clouds at this very moment!

I have great memories of working with Nita in Twentieth Century Club; she and many of her contemporaries were wonderful role models for lots of us just a bit younger. I am proud to have known her. My best to her family, she was a lovely lady. Pat McClelland

Dear Pam, Andy and family,

There will never be another Aunt Nita--she was lovely, fun-loving, and put up with all of us and our endless hi-jinks. I remember the night Pam and I decided to bake a cake--which somehow ended upside down dripping cake batter into the hot oven--an hour before we were supposed to get on the midnight train to St. Louis. And the train to St. Louis--we kept everyone awake all night with our guitar playing and singing. We should write a book. She will be missed.

Love to you all,
Linda
