Biography: Patricia Rose Bobo Booth quietly passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2012. She was born in Houston, Texas on November 21, 1929. As a small child, Pat grew up in Dallas, Texas and then moved to Little Rock. Pat graduated from Little Rock Central High School in 1947 and was an officer of Delta Alpha Delta sorority. She attended Texas Women?s University in Denton, Texas and graduated from there in 1951. Her first job was in Little Rock with Braniff Airlines as a ticket agent. She later went on to work for American Airlines in their main ticket office in downtown Little Rock. In 1963, Pat married William Henry Booth, III of Shreveport, Louisiana. After moving briefly to Atlanta and Shreveport, Pat and Bill moved to Buford, Georgia. Pat was very active in the Buford community. She was president of the Buford Garden Club, the Buford Women?s Club, as well as a member of the First United Methodist Church. In 1988, Pat moved back to Little Rock. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Little Rock, where she volunteered as Office Angel and was a member of the Altar Guild. Pat was also a member of the Shadow Lawn Garden Club and active with the Fine Arts Council as a volunteer. For over 20 years, she enjoyed playing a weekly game of mahjong with a circle of very dear friends. Pat is survived by her children, Rosemary Booth Prather and her husband, Jason of Little Rock, Arkansas and John Allen Booth, Sr. and his wife Danielle of Dallas, Texas; her grandchildren, Jacob and Jackson Prather of Little Rock, Arkansas and William, Henry, John Jr. and Carolyn Booth of Dallas, Texas; her sister-in-law, Georgia Bobo, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tillie Rose Bobo, Cecil Strauss Bobo, and her brother, James Cecil Bobo. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Little Rock on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First United Methodist Church of Little Rock. Pat was a lovely, talented lady. She was missed by so many people in Buford when she moved back to Little Rock.
