Jesus was a joy to know. Over the years he showed such kindness and joy over seeing us. What a blessing he gave us.

Jesus was not only our favorite waiter, but a dear friend. He was an exceptional and caring man. His attention to detail when serving his customers was perfection. His brilliant smile always warm and welcoming. I am deeply saddened by the events that led to his untimely death. I pray that God richly blesses him and that his family members are comforted with many happy memories. I know that he is at peace, but his dear friends and regular customers of El Chico will miss him terribly. Please know that his family will remain in my prayers.

Jesus always waited on my friend and me when we ate at El Chico. He called us "his ladies" and took extra special care of us always. He waited on us on the Saturday before he was killed, and we talked to him for a long time. He was a wonderful, conscientious, kind and interesting person, and I will miss him so much. I take comfort in knowing that he is in a much better place now. To his family I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

I am shocked and saddened about losing Jesus. As a patron of El Chico, I came purposefully to eat there and sit in his section. It's because he always treated us like royalty! He was always there with our every need even before we asked. It was so much fun to "chat him up," and we did just that the night before he died. We laughed and talked about his family. He was so proud of his family, and we joked about his brother beating him in the recent marathon. Jesus said it was only because he was younger. I will miss his wonderful personality and great smile. He was one of the hardest working men I know--working two full-time jobs, 80 hours a week! He touched more people than he knows, and the world is so much better for having had him in it for 39 years than not at all. Take care of one another.

My thoughts & prayers go out to Jesus family and friends. I pray God will give them strength to pull through this time of great sorrow. I do know he is in a much better place and that the people who did this will have to answer to God for what they did, justice will be served. God Bless.

My prayers are with all of you. He was a good friend and co-worker.Always called out my name with a big smile on his face when he saw me. Worked so hard to do everything just right. If he liked you he would do anything he could for you. Now he's in a perfect place with only perfect people around him. I will remember him fondly the rest of my life and expect to hear him call my name and see his smile when my time comes to leave to this earth. Rest In Peace My Friend.

My prayer and thoughts are with Jesus' family. I worked with Jesus and he was a great man. We laughed a lot, he had a good sense of humor. He was a good Christian man, manathon runner, loved hanging with his family members. He had great work ethics, I think that is why he was hard on the other employees that did not want to work. I hope that is not why they had such hatred toward him, he just wanted everyone to work hard and be proud of the job they did. Jesus was a wonderful example of a hard worker. I will miss him.

We did not personally know Jesus, but are frequent patrons of the restaurant. We are so saddened by his death. May God and the peace which comes from the memories of love shared comfort his family and friends now and in the days ahead.
