I have been a neighbor of D.B. for the past six (6) years. He was a very wonderful neighbor. I will miss seeing him walking slowly to the mail house each day. You have my deepest sympathy.

My heartfelt condolences to the family of Mr. Hill. I saw him just recently and told him that I marked the passage of time by his every three- month visits to see me. I enjoyed his visits and consider it a great pleasure and honor to have been allowed to participate in his care. He will be sorely missed.

I am out of town all week so will miss his memorial service. Again, my best to his family and friends.

I have nothing but fond memories of Mr. Hill. I remember flagging traffic on the job in Fayetteville in about 1981. Often when Mr. Hill was in town, he would stop beside the highway and chat with me. This always helped to break up the long hours of the day. He knew I liked cigars, and if I was lucky, he would pull one out of his pocket and give it to me before he drove away. He was always good to me.

My father, E.D. Faulk worked for your Dad for a long time and the one thing that I remember from my childhood is my Dad saying of Mr. Hill "he was a fair man". To my Dad that meant he treated his employees with respect and was grateful for a job well done. A life well lived makes for a happy home going for a man of 93 that leaves behind a worthy legacy. God's grace to your families.

Rest eternal grant to him, O Lord: And let light perpetual shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. May blessings of light be with his family too.

D.B. lived across the street from my mother-in-law, Dana Galvin. Every one of his neighbors (and myself) loved him dearly as he was a wonderful gentleman who was looked up to for his thoughtfullness, generosity, and leadership. I will miss him greatly and considered him a role model.
