Our sincere condolences to the entire Fikes family. I was lucky enough to have been a part of that family having been married to Rob's Uncle Tommy (T Hops). I know that the suffering for Robbie is no more and words don't seem much comfort at this time...but please know that all of you... Sterling and family, Robert and June, Kathy and family, David and Nicole and "Queenie" and family plus aunts, uncles and cousins are in my thoughts for hopes of moving forward through the grief. Blessings to each and all of you.

We still think of Robbie with his tennis raquet in his white shorts across the street on Mohawk Circle, and Kathy, David and Lee Ann near by.
Those were memorable times for us. Such wonderful neighbors are once in ourlifetime.

We are so terribly, terribly sorry.

With our love and prayers.

I knew Rob when he was little and called Robbie. He was always polite and had a
smile on his face and was well behaved. He lived next door to us on Keightly Dr. I've thought of him often over the years. He was just one of those kids you don't forget. My prayers are with
his family.

I worked with Rob in the mid 1990's, and however busy he was,he would always pull his chair back from his desk, turn in my direction and say "What do you need to know?" His son Stephen was young then and Rob was so proud, and proud to show his pictures. Sterling, we pray for you and Stephen in this difficult time.

Rob Fikes had a dry sense of humor. I worked as a runner for Crews & Associates for four years with Rob Fikes. He was a very devoted man to his work and co-workers around him. He loved coffee. I would try and find him new brands of coffee for him to try. Sometimes, I would steal coffee from the hotel and bring them to Rob. He would say, "Scott, you didn't have to do that.". He was a very humble man. He would talk to me in the breakroom about playing golf with his son on the weekends. He loved talking golf. I would see him pretending to tee off next to his desk. He will never be forgotten in my mind.

Sterling and Stephen..... Rob was a great co-worker and friend. I always enjoyed visiting with him @ the office and at the various sporting events where Stephen was a participant. I know that he was very proud of his son and relished in his success on the field and in the classroom. Please call on me if I can help you in any way.

Sterling and Stephen, my prayers go out for you and your family in such a time of sadness. While Rob will always be missed by his family and friends, he is no longer suffering, and we all know how happy he is about that! Having known Rob since we were babies, I have too many fond memories to recall. From pee-wee football to Roof Running in High School to frisbie golf in college. One thing I know for sure is he cherished both of you with his whole heart! Sterling was the love of his life since he was a teenager, and I have not known many Fathers who were more proud of their Son. May God send his Angels down to comfort you and give you Faith and Courage during your time of grief.

What a wonderful memory we will always have of Rob. So sorry about the sadness that abounds with the passing of a loved one but the good Lord knows he better with Him. We will see him again one day.I always enjoyed talking to Rob and never did get the receipe for the Faded Rose's Red Hot Pepper Shrimp. If for any reason you need anything that we can help with, please call us. Rob I am glad you are not suffering any longer but I am truely missing you. Who is going to call me now and ask "What are you doing up there because you are causing me a break on my report?" I would tell you I was just seeing if you were paying attention and I knew you were because you always busted me. :)
My heart goes out to Sterling and Steven and the rest of your immediate family.
I miss you my friend.

Sterling & Stephen - I started at Crews in 2006 and it was just a matter of a few month that Rob and I were laughing our tails off together over stupid things. Rob was a great friend and I will miss him very much.
