Jean,
Paul and I were so sorry to hear about Gene. When Paul told me he passed away Sunday morning, I immediately thought about his unwavering faith and his godly example I saw during our five years at PPBC. I enjoyed singing in the choir with him. I never doubted for a minute that he believed what he was singing. We are praying for you and your family.

Oh Jean, I am so very sorry. What a precious gift for his family to be able to be there as he left to go home. No greater gift do I cherish now than the gift of being beside my parents as they left this world of pain and went into their true home. What precious memories we have of Gene singing and what a testimony of what his true spirit and soul was all about - Jesus being all the world to him. We love you so Jean.

We send our heartfelt prayers to you and your family Mrs. Jean. I know that he will be missed by you and your family. Our prayer is that God will hold you even closer during this time of grief and sorrow. One of the joys that we have as believers is knowing that one day we will all be reunited with our loved ones around the glorious thrown of our Savior. Again our prayers go out to you.

God took home one of his favorite children this week. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and family but his memory will live on as long as I am still around. See you again Uncle Gene.

Ms. Jean, Chuck, Kelly and family... This man was/is an icon, a legend! I have not seen him in quite a while but talked to him often. There is a big void in the world without his sweet smile and words of wisdom, of course those words always followed by a joke that would make anyone laugh.... REST IN PEACE, HE GENE!!
