Today I am so sad to hear of the passing away of Mrs. Dorothy Martindill. Mrs. Martindill was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met in my life. She displayed Gods amazing love everywhere she went. I had the opportunity to care for her once when she was in the hospital. After she left the hospital we were able to keep in touch through letters and phone calls. It has been a while since Mrs. Dorothy and i have written, but today, Mrs. Dorothy was on my mind a lot. I searched for her address so I could write her a letter to see how she was doing. Now I know she is in heaven, no longer hurting. She will be greatly missed.

I just heard of Dot's passing. I loved seeing her at the Fike funerals in Jasper AL. She took care of me as a baby, and I could tell that she loved me so much. God bless you all.

Dear Butch, Cathy and Family,

Our hearts ache for you all in your loss. Mrs. Martindill served as a delightful example of service and kindness above self. Always a smile to share, or kind word to all, she brightened many days at M.M.Cohn for us as we worked to put ourselves through college. Her world-class manners were a constant lesson to all of us.

The Lord bless you and keep you well and strong in this difficult time. Surely you know how proud she must have been of ALL of you.

All the best, and love,
Rita Mitchell-Harvey and Vic, in spirit
